Charles III and Camilla to visit the Pope in October

This October, Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla will pay a State Visit to the Holy See and meet Pope Leo XIV.

Charles III, as Prince of Wales, has went to the Vatican five times. April 1985, April 2005, April 2009, April 2017, and October 2019. Of these, Camilla joined him in 2009 and 2017.

Charles III was received by Benedict XVI during 2009 and Francis during 2017 and 2019. 

Elizabeth II visited the Vatican four times, all accompanied by Prince Philip.
